[ Talk Story Series ]
Talk Story, known in Hawaii as mo’olelo, is the tradition of personally sharing important stories to preserve them for future generations.
Surfing is full of colorful, charismatic and creative characters whose contributions to the world span far beyond the waves. Surf Talk Story, held every Wednesday night (seasonal) at Turtle Bay Resort’s Surfer The Bar, brings surfing’s legends and their tall but true tales directly to you, as they are told to host Jodi Wilmott. The event is also streamed live.
Door donation of $10 goes to a local non-profit/education groups selected by the Speaker.
Our 6-week Fall Talk Story takes place Wednesday nights, 7:30pm, from November 13 through December 18 at Surfer The Bar, Turtle Bay Resort.
100% of ticket sales to charity. TICKETS $10.

Greg Long is the most decorated individual in modern day big wave surfing. The defending champion of the Quiksilver In Memory of Eddie Aikau at Waimea Bay, Greg has also won California’s Mavericks, Dungeons South Africa, and the Billabong XXL. On December 21, 2012, Long suffered a 3-wave hold down at the unnerving open ocean wave of Cortes Bank. It almost cost him his life. Instead of turning his back on big wave riding, Greg faced it with renewed passion and commitment, returning to ride giant waves again. He is back on the North Shore for “The Eddie Aikau” again this winter. Talk followed by screening of Greg’s short film Sine Qua Non.
